About Us

Established in 1992 by two former Kodak employees with over 50 years of combined experience in the imaging industry, Imaging Spectrum was one of the first “all-digital” imaging dealers in the United States. Bob Woodchek and Gary Stephens started the business in a small office in north Dallas. A metal office cabinet and the floor in the corner was their “warehouse”. Likeable old peddlers, Bob and Gary quickly achieved success selling new and rapidly developing digital imaging technology into the Government and Fortune 500 markets. In 1992 not many people had seen (or could afford) a digital camera or dye-sub photo printer (the first digital camera Bob and Gary sold cost $30,000, had a 1.3 megapixel sensor and was tethered to a thirty pound pack that provided power, 200MB of storage and a small monochrome screen). To help them navigate the technology and serve their growing customer base, they surrounded themselves with experts that knew the value of customer service. Over the years, with the help of devoted employees and many loyal customers, Imaging Spectrum has maintained that early lead and grown its business by providing its customers with expert technical knowledge, a friendly and reliable staff and great prices. The “old school” ways that Bob and Gary have instilled in every employee have served the company, and more importantly, their customers, very well. Bob and Gary have since retired and Bob’s three sons share the helm. The company's close-knit staff includes five awesome customer service reps Jo, Christy, Gretchen, Meredith and Laura; five devoted technical sales reps Ronnie, Steve, Matt, Bill, and Christina. Rick, the government sales manager, maintains Imaging Spectrum's close working relationships with the military and other government agencies. Behind the scenes Rebecca keeps the books, Thomas, with his assistant Anthony leads tech support and repair services; Travis is our jack-of-all-trades designer and web guru; and Andy, the warehouse manager, gets every order right with help from fireman Jeff.

With that in mind our mission is to “develop loyal customers by providing expert advice, quality products and services, and outstanding customer service.” Imaging Spectrum is an authorized dealer for most major professional printer and photographic related companies including: Sony, Epson, Noritsu, Kodak, Shinko, Mitsubishi, DNP, Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Rimage, HP and many others. In order to fulfill our motto, “In Stock - On Time” we maintain a large inventory of printers, printer supplies and related products in our 40,000 square foot warehouse in Plano, Texas. In addition, we have access to seventeen other warehouses across the U.S. Our prices are very competitive, however, what we hope you come to love about Imaging Spectrum and what has set us apart from our competition is our ability and willingness to communicate with our customers. Whether it’s a technical or practical matter; such as “My new version of Darkroom Software is not seeing my DNP DS40” or “what’s the status of my online order that I placed last night?” the staff at Imaging Spectrum operates with a sense of urgency – we want to earn and keep your business and your trust. We support what we sell. We offer toll free technical support for our regular customers. Our experienced and trained staff can walk you through most technical issues right over the phone. Visit our showroom

Located in Plano, Texas, our showroom contains the latest printers and software for you to test drive. Call for an appointment or swing by anytime between the hours of 9am-5pm CST Monday through Friday.

Our Warehouse

We stock your mission critical printers and supplies in our 40,000 square foot warehouse. Orders received by 2.30 pm CST ship the same day. In addition to our warehouse, we have access to seventeen other warehouses spread all over the US which enables us to get your order to you on time.
