Which Epson Ink Technology Should I Use?
At the time of purchase, the customer must choose which ink technology they want to use. With the introduction of EPSON UltraChrome Ink, it will become more difficult to decide which Epson ink technology to choose. For most customers, EPSON UltraChrome Ink will be the obvious choice. This breakthrough ink technology will forever change the perception of pigmented inks. This ink is best for:

The EPSON Photographic Dye Ink, especially when used with EPSON ColorLife media, will produce stunning photographic prints with lightfastness ratings up to 26 years under glass. This still outlasts traditional silver halide prints. This ink is best for:
- Photography that only requires a lightfastness rating up to 26 years under glass
- Color Comping, General Purpose Graphics, and Business Presentation Graphics
- CAD, GIS Mapping, Architecture, etc. where ink costs might be an issue
- Any user who does not care about lightfastness and wants the lowest possible operational costs
